Life is full of flotsam and jetsam. My compulsion is to collect it all, sort out what to keep, and use it to tell stories.
The central theme of my upcoming novel Terrible Gardens is that the only constant in the universe is change. The story is about love, death, the fourth dimension, and a character who grows an extra limb.
Rather than calling this a blog, I think of it as a blob. It’s my awareness as I write. Just as the finished product, the novel, shows flashes of what it’s eaten, think of this “blob” as a menu or a recipe. It’s an itemized list of unadulterated pieces of the whole (and a bit about how they came to be eaten for the sake of my writing).
These ingredients include videos, articles, images, music, ideas, all of which have influenced Terrible Gardens in some way.
If you ever have anything related to any of the posts you see here that you’d like to share and/or discuss, please feel free to leave a comment about it. I’m always on the lookout for further discovery, inspiration, knowledge–it’s the stuff of life.
